  • 1-2 cubes of bouillon
  • 1 head cabbage

Cut all the vegetables into small pieces and add enough water to cover. Bring to a hard boil and let it boil for around 10 minutes. Simmer till the veggies turn tender. Season to taste.

Day One: Cabbage soup, fruits (except bananas) and water

Day Two: Cabbage soup and raw or cooked vegetables

Day Three: Combine day one and two

Day Four: Cabbage soup, bananas (up to 8 ) and skimmed milk (as much as you would like to)

Day Five: Cabbage soup, beef (up to 10-20 ounces) and fresh tomatoes (up to six), at least 8 glasses of water

Day Six: Cabbage soup, beef and vegetables

Day Seven: Cabbage soup, brown rice, vegetables and unsweetened fruit juices

3)  3 Day Cold Liquid Diet Program

To lose 1 to 2 pounds a week with this diet plan that works fast, do the following:

Have 5 small meals a day. Use a protein shake as a meal replacement or as a mid day snack. Remember to have a vitamin supplement every day, preferably in a liquid form. To make a protein shake for such diet plans that work fast, blend the following ingredients in a blender at high for approximately a minute.

  • 2 scoops of whey protein powder
  • 8 ounces of cold low fat milk
  • 5 packets of Splenda
  • 3 ice cubes

4)  Scarsdale Diet Plan

One of the diet plans that work fast, this diet promises a weight loss of up to 7-15 pounds in a period of 2 weeks. In this diet, you will be required to follow the Scarsdale Medical Diet (SMD) for two weeks. After this, you will be advised to switch over to Keep Trim Eating for another 2 weeks, where you can have the choice of planning your own menus, with only specific additional foods allowed.

Once done, you will again revert to 2 weeks of the SMD diet followed by another 2 weeks of the Keep-Trim. This cycle will continue till your desired goal has been achieved.

Day 4

Coffee/tea with sugar substitute, half grapefruit, one slice protein bread

2 eggs, cottage cheese, string beans/tomatoes, one slice protein bread, coffee/tea

Unlimited broiled, barbecued or roast chicken, green beans, spinach, green peppers, coffee/tea

Day 5
